The NASA Budget for 2008 is aprox 17.5 Billion Dollars and that does not included some special programs. Instead of researching for water on distant planets the same recourses could be used to clean up the water on our planet. Knowing that Saturn's rings are more dense than what was though seems to be more important than people dying from drinking contaminated water.
I've heard the same arguement for over 30 years. As for resources, the only "same" resource is money. The idea that you can redirect space hardware to pollution is wishful thinking.

Much of the materials processing technology we have came from Nasa. They push the bleeding edge of science very hard, and you get a good bang for the bucks you put in there.
Why not give the dept of education 1 year off, and require kids to work in hard environmentally friendly manual labor. We could put the money into the environment. After a year we get hundreds of billions of money in the envt, and come up with a way to motivate a majority of teens to work hard in school. You cant teach the unwilling.
So um... why isn't this in the political section?
And what about that stupid military budget? If it were cut in half that would give every human on Earth 75 free dollars a year (500 billion dollars). (that wouldn't really happen, all the stupid rich people would just gobble it up)
If you think the 17 billion saved would be redirected to environmental issues, you have not learned from history. The "peace dividend", which was the large savings due to defense cuts after the end of the cold war, was just frittered away by the Government.
Why attack NASA???? Why not the Military budget! How about we double NASA's budget and take a world first by becoming the first nation to completely dissolve the military budget. Maybe this would show the world that we mean peace by getting rid of the military budget. Plus NASA's research in space has provided us with more products than what you are currently aware of. If it was not for NASA you wouldn't have the satellite communications that we have, you wouldn't be able to be warned ahead of time for severe weather, most medical science would be 40 years behind what it currently is. Certain plastics and other products would not have been invented yet. Not only that but it may be NASA that actually saves human kind when the rest of the money hungry politicians destroy this world with either polution or acts of war.
When will NASA bashers learn to do some basic maths? NASA's budget is LESS THAN 1% of the US Federal budget for 2008. Hundreds of billions of dollars are being spent on the military this year, about 80 billion specifically for the construction of new weapons. Redirect some of THAT into humanitarian projects and leave science budgets alone. Just because you can't see what benefits the space program gives doesn't make it a waste of money.
Yahoo has been having major server issues since at LEAST Jan. 10, seemingly just with particular servers. And what's happening to you is unfortunately one of the many problems that people are having because of them, and Yahoo doesn't seem to be in any particular hurry to solve them. And the problems are not just w/Yahoo Beta or IE7; I and others not using either are having similar problems. But both do have more problems; if you're using Beta, it's still in the testing stage and has a lot of problems, so go back to original Yahoo mail, and the same w/IE7, go back to IE6 until MS irons out all the problems.
I've had to use another acct.provided free by my ISP to send/rcv important e-mails since Jan. 10, and it's been working just fine the whole time. If you don't have another acct.w/another provider besides Yahoo, I'd strongly advise to get one; it makes a good backup in case of problems like this.

Since that original posting, they've also sent another e-mail that they've escalated the problem (or should I say problems!) to their engineering department, which is an indication of major problems, and not just a minor S/W "glitch." And again, these problems are not exclusive to Yahoo's Beta, but it does seem to compound the existing problems. This would indicate to me that there are also compatibility issues btwn. the H/W and S/W, besides the server problems.
So it's not anything you're doing, your computer, or your internet connection, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. And BTW, deleting temp files (which your computer automatically does anyway every time you shut down your computer), cookies, or history will absolutely NOT fix the problem, nor will running disk cleanup or defrag or a system restore.

Anytime you are redirected like that it's because of spyware, or browser highjackers...Do a complete scan with Spybot S%26amp;D and MS Antispyware (Window's Defender) or Lavasoft Ad-Aware...then click fix problems, reboot, then try again...

I checked your Yahoo profile and it did not say what country in which you live. If you live in the UK, or use an internet provider in the UK, then the .www will automatically route you to the in-country site (provided there is one). If you are in the US, and are being directed to uk.youtube.com, then I'm not sure what's up (unless you are using an IP spoofer and picked a UK-based IP address).

Maybe you're not doing anything wrong. Maybe there's a bad link on the site.
Maybe the site is already redundant.
When this happens some company redirect you to their own site and not particularly the one you want.

Download myspaceim and use it to log into your account. It doesn't seem to be a virus...it seems to be a code problem on myspaces end. I have done everything short of formatting and reinstalling windows to find a reason for the problem on my pc and desktop. Its not my account cause I can access it outside my home and with www.sureproxy.com. The easiest way to fix(bandaid) the problem is to use MyspaceIm to log in and browse.

Did they follow a link or did they type in the address themselves? If they followed a link, go to http://www.myspace.com immediately and change your password because you might have logged into a phishing site and they now have your password and will hack your account.
Yes, It sounds like they typed the URL wrong. They just have the owner of the fake site a couple bucks and their username and password at the same time.

Being a victim of this selective problem I went hunting for an answer myself. It's relatively new so that usually means it'll take a while before someone finds the remedy. What the general consensus displays is that there's a problem with DNS servers not working with MySpace.

By clicking on RS link it should take you directly to the download page. Not to any other website, like serials.ws. This must be some spyware or malware that has affected your computer, spyware like these often redirects users from google results to some other websites which are filled with harmful scripts, an example.
There is great number of distinction between spyware/malware or virus. In simple term Virus corrupts the computer program, whereas spyware/malware just spies and logs all the details of your computer (like browsing to bank websites, your email account's username and password, credit card number) as their name suggest. ok u have to turn off ur firewall or any antivirus, goto to tools - internet options from the IE page.. click on security tab, get the security levels to dfault, click on privacy -advanced and allow session ccokies and allow third party cookies.. do all this when u offline .. :)
