I've had the same problem since 6pm last night. Looks like yahoo is "misdirecting" some acts to the wrong server. I say this because I have an old session from yesterday morning - i'm logged into mail and everything works! But, I can not open a new mail session on that or any other machine either at home or at work. Any attempt to start a new session results in being redirected to a server that doesn't host the page {error 404}).

Adding the word "us" after http:// worked for me. I was not able to access my Yahoo Mail since last night. Try it, it should work for you as well.
The problem has been going on for about a month for some people.

For now I have all my email going to Gmail until Yahoo is fixed.
